Are you a detail-driven laboratory professional ready to advance the science of infectious disease diagnostics? Medical Diagnostic Laboratories is seeking a full-time Cytotechnologist to join its diagnostic team in the US.
About the Role
As a Cytotechnologist at Medical Diagnostic Laboratories, you will examine cellular specimens to support accurate diagnoses across a broad clinical menu. Working on-site in the US, you will apply microscopic analysis and molecular insight within a laboratory recognized for its expertise in Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) testing and infectious disease research.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate cytological and cellular samples to identify abnormalities and support clinical diagnoses.
- Contribute to testing across specialty areas including gynecology, infectious diseases, infectious arthritis, tick-borne diseases, mycology, and chronic fatigue syndrome.
- Collaborate with laboratory scientists and physicians to ensure precise, timely results.
- Maintain rigorous quality-control standards and accurate documentation in line with laboratory protocols.
- Support the laboratory's growing PCR-based diagnostic testing capabilities.
Qualifications
- Credentialing as a Cytotechnologist consistent with industry and regulatory standards.
- Hands-on experience in microscopic examination and interpretation of cellular specimens.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical judgment.
- Familiarity with infectious disease or molecular diagnostic environments is an asset.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, fast-paced laboratory setting in the US.
