Custom Applicator

At Ag Partners Cooperative Inc in Vermillion, Marshall County, we are seeking a dedicated Custom Applicator to join our full‑time team.

About the Role

The Custom Applicator plays a key role in delivering precise crop inputs while ensuring equipment reliability and outstanding service to local producers.

What You'll Do

• Operate and calibrate spray rigs and fertilizer applicators for accurate field coverage.
• Apply herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and nutrient blends following label instructions and safety protocols.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on application machinery to keep it in peak condition.
• Communicate with farmers to understand field conditions, recommend product rates, and schedule applications.
• Maintain accurate records of product usage, weather conditions, and field notes for compliance and reporting.
• Assist with seasonal preparation, including equipment setup, storage, and end‑of‑season teardown.
• Follow all company safety policies and participate in ongoing training programs.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or agricultural training is a plus.
• Proven experience operating agricultural spray equipment or similar machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and maintaining application tools.
• Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship when handling chemicals.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building trust with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record; CDL preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying climates and to travel within the service area as needed.
