About the Role

As a Counter and Inside Sales associate at Consolidated Electrical Distributors, you'll be the customer-facing expert who connects builders, contractors, and electricians with the right products and solutions. You'll manage the fast-paced environment of electrical sales in Steamboat, handling everything from walk-in counter service to inbound phone inquiries, ensuring every customer interaction reflects our commitment to quality and responsiveness.

What You'll Do

• Assist customers in person at our Steamboat counter location and via phone
• Process and enter customer orders accurately into our system
• Review order details and pull inventory to fulfill customer requests efficiently
• Build relationships with local contractors, electricians, and builders to support ongoing sales
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate electrical products and solutions
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all transactions are completed professionally and on time
• Support inventory management and ensure product availability for customer orders

What We're Looking For

• Experience in inside sales, counter sales, or customer service—ideally in a distributor or similar environment
• Strong communication skills and a professional approach to customer interactions
• Ability to learn and use order management systems and software
• Organizational skills and attention to detail when processing orders
• Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
• Knowledge of electrical products and industry terminology is a plus
