Milner is hiring a Copier Technician for our Sand Lake, Orange County location. In this full-time role, you'll support our service team by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing office copiers and related equipment for our clients throughout the region.
About the Role
As a Copier Technician at Milner, you'll be the hands-on expert who keeps our clients' document imaging equipment running smoothly. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to our Service Manager, where you'll build lasting relationships with customers while developing deep technical expertise in copier systems and peripherals.
What You'll Do
- Install, configure, and set up new copier systems and document equipment at client locations throughout Sand Lake and Orange County
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic issues in copiers, printers, and related devices
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine service calls to minimize downtime for our clients
- Troubleshoot software and hardware problems using diagnostic tools and manufacturer documentation
- Document all service activities, parts replacements, and technical findings in our service management system
- Respond to service calls promptly and communicate clearly with clients about repair status and costs
- Stock and manage service parts inventory, ordering supplies as needed
- Stay current with new copier models and technology through manufacturer training and technical updates
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in office equipment repair preferred
- Prior experience as a copier technician, printer technician, or similar office equipment service role
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and manufacturer service guides
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for traveling between client locations
- Excellent customer service skills and professional communication abilities
- Physical ability to lift equipment, tools, and supplies (up to 50 lbs regularly)
- Willingness to learn new systems and adapt to evolving copier technology
