About the Role

As a Cook at Ranch House Senior Living, you will prepare meals that meet the nutritional preferences and dietary requirements of residents while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. You’ll work closely with dietary staff and supervisors to ensure timely service and high food quality.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks according to established menus and resident dietary plans.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards, including proper storage, handling, and cleaning procedures.
• Assist with inventory management, receiving deliveries, and rotating stock to minimize waste.
• Adapt recipes to accommodate texture-modified, low‑sodium, diabetic, and other special diets.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure meal service runs smoothly and residents receive timely, enjoyable meals.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in food preparation, preferably in a senior living, healthcare, or hospital setting.
• Ability to read and follow recipes, portion guides, and dietary restrictions accurately.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment.
• ServSafe or similar food safety certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a team‑oriented attitude.
• Good communication skills and a positive, resident‑focused mindset.
