Alpha FMC is looking for a Contract Manager to join our Legal, Compliance and Risk team in Leeds.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a trusted global function servicing our ever-evolving consultancy practice, that plays a key role in supporting Alpha’s growth, managing contractual relationships, and helping the business navigate legal, compliance and risk matters across its international operations.

About the role

As Contract Manager, you will join a team that supports Alpha’s business activities globally, with Legal Services managing contractual engagement with clients, partners and vendors, alongside wider legal support to the business.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting contract management across the business, including drafting and maintaining template documentation across Alpha’s business units, as well as providing support on a range of other legal matters on an ad hoc basis including, but not limited to:

  • Providing support to the business in respect of contractual relationships with new and existing clients, including reviewing, drafting and negotiating:
    • MSAs,
    • Terms and conditions of engagement,
    • SOWs,
    • NDAs
  • Ensure contractual terms protect Alpha across key areas, such as liability, intellectual property, confidentiality, data protection, regulatory compliance, etc.
  • Support bid/proposal teams with contractual input during RFPs and pitch processes
  • Reviewing and negotiating supplier contracts, partnership arrangements, sub-contracts and other commercial contracts
  • Ensuring contracts comply with applicable law, industry regulations, and Alpha policies
  • Working closely with all Alpha’s business divisions, with primary focus on UK, MENA and APAC

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a candidate who brings strong legal and commercial judgement, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work effectively across multiple priorities.

Essential requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification in law (English or other common law)
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a contract management role in a multi-national company
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and contractual legal risk management
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Desirable:

  • Experience working in professional services and/or financial services industries
  • Knowledge of IT contracts
