Position Summary
LIUNA — Bismarck, North Dakota is currently hiring full-time concrete laborers. As a member of LIUNA Local 563, you will have the opportunity to earn between $24 - $29 per hour, with $16 per hour dedicated to benefits including comprehensive health coverage, dental, vision, and a retirement package through a pension plan. Additionally, you'll receive training to enhance your skills and advance in your career.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of concrete mixtures as needed
- Operate various construction equipment such as wheelbarrows, shovels, and tampers
- Perform tasks related to setting up forms for pouring concrete
- Level and smooth poured concrete surfaces using screeds and floats
- Ensure proper curing of concrete by covering freshly poured areas with plastic or other materials
- Assist in the cleanup and maintenance of work sites
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license (required for job site travel)
- Prior experience in construction, particularly with concrete work, is preferred but not required
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment
- Physical stamina to perform labor-intensive tasks throughout the day
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
