This full-time position offers the opportunity to design, implement, and maintain enterprise backup and data protection infrastructure for large-scale federal government operations.

About the Role

As a CommVault Systems Engineer, you will take ownership of our data protection platform, ensuring mission-critical backup and recovery solutions are deployed, optimized, and operating reliably across federal government environments. You'll architect solutions that meet strict compliance requirements while delivering the performance and uptime government agencies demand.

What You'll Do

• Design and configure CommVault backup solutions tailored to federal infrastructure and compliance requirements
• Implement, test, and deploy data protection systems across complex, large-scale enterprise environments
• Troubleshoot backup failures and recovery scenarios, resolving issues promptly to minimize operational impact
• Develop and maintain recovery procedures and documentation to support disaster recovery initiatives
• Assess government customer data protection needs and recommend CommVault strategies aligned with their mission
• Monitor backup performance, analyze metrics, and optimize configurations for efficiency and reliability
• Support and maintain existing backup infrastructure, ensuring continuous availability and system health

What We're Looking For

• Extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting CommVault backup and recovery platforms
• Demonstrated expertise troubleshooting complex backup environments and resolving data protection issues
• Current or ability to obtain a security clearance as required for federal government work
• Strong foundation in backup methodologies, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity principles
• Technical proficiency with enterprise servers, storage systems, and network infrastructure
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Professional experience working with government clients and cross-functional technical teams
