Step into a mission-critical engineering role with Motorola Solutions, where the technology you help deliver becomes the lifeline communities count on. We're hiring a full-time Solutions Architect in the United States to own the technical heartbeat of public safety software deployments.
About the Role
As a Solutions Architect on the Command Center Software (CCSW) team, you'll serve as the technical authority across every phase of project implementation. Partnering with project managers, application specialists, software developers, fellow architects, and customers, you'll translate complex requirements into reliable, end-to-end solutions that public safety organizations depend on.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret technical requirements, concepts of operation, and overall solution architecture across the Command Center suite.
- Coordinate with pre-sales and post-sales teams to match technical designs to each customer's needs.
- Champion and justify the project's technical and programmatic decisions while surfacing and resolving expectation gaps alongside the project manager.
- Adapt and apply change management and systems engineering practices, including the integration of third-party applications.
- Flag technical risks to deployment plans, recommend mitigations, and support project management in shaping costs and schedules.
- Act as the technical counterpart to the project manager during internal, customer, and third-party meetings.
Qualifications
- 5+ years delivering public safety projects in a technical capacity, or comparable enterprise-level technical deployment experience.
- A BS in a technical or engineering field, an associate degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience (6+ years).
- Ability to obtain the security and background clearances required by government customers, including CJIS fingerprint screening.
- Strong presentation skills and fluency in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency with diagramming tools such as Microsoft Visio.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely, and willingness to travel 25–50% of the time.
