About the Role
This one-year structured apprenticeship program prepares you for a long-term career in commercial building maintenance. You'll work under close supervision in a real facility environment, performing both preventive and corrective maintenance on the systems and equipment that keep properties running smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical components, and plumbing
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues on building systems and industrial installations
- Maintain building grounds and outdoor areas to code and safety standards
- Document maintenance activities and report findings to your supervisor
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures on the job
- Support facility operations during second shift hours to ensure properties remain well-maintained
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to work the 2nd shift schedule reliably
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical skills
- Physical capability to perform maintenance tasks, including climbing, lifting, and working in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to safety and detail-oriented work habits
- Reliable transportation to the Tampa facility
