About the Role
As a Colorado 9th Grade Success Coach, you will serve as a trusted partner to school leaders across Denver, collaborating closely with their teams to build, launch, and sustain high-functioning 9th Grade Success Teams. Working as part of the coaching staff at the Center for High School Success, you'll turn the pivotal freshman year into an opportunity for lasting change at a moment when both the need and the potential are significant.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach and support school-based leaders in establishing and operating effective 9th Grade Success Teams.
- Facilitate regular review of student data to identify freshmen who need additional support to stay on track.
- Help educators translate data insights into timely, targeted interventions for 9th grade students.
- Build durable partnerships with Denver-area schools committed to closing opportunity gaps.
- Champion equitable outcomes for students who have historically been underserved.
Qualifications
- Experience working in or alongside high schools, ideally in coaching, instructional leadership, or student-success roles.
- Comfort using student data to guide decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong facilitation and relationship-building skills with school staff and leaders.
- A genuine commitment to educational equity and supporting underserved students.
- Willingness to work on-site with schools based in Denver, Colorado.
