About the Role

This full-time Clinical Laboratory Technologist (MT) - Generalist position is based primarily in the Microbiology department at Glens Falls Hospital, with cross-training across additional laboratory disciplines. You will work a daytime shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with an every-third weekend rotation, performing the testing and analysis that clinicians depend on to make confident treatment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical laboratory testing within the Microbiology department, following established protocols and quality standards.
• Cross-train and rotate through other laboratory sections to support generalist coverage as needed.
• Process, analyze, and report specimen results with precision and attention to detail.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, document outcomes, and adhere to safety and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in the weekend rotation schedule, contributing to continuous laboratory operations.

Qualifications

• Education, certification, and licensure consistent with a Medical Technologist (MT) generalist role.
• Working knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures, with the ability to perform microbiology testing.
• Willingness to be cross-trained across multiple laboratory departments.
• Availability for the 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM shift and an every-third weekend rotation.
