Role Overview
The Clinical Advisor will provide clinical guidance for the strategic planning, management, integration, and implementation of health information systems related to InterSystems products. Working closely with Sales, Implementation, Product and support teams. the Clinical Advisor will play a key role throughout the sales lifecycle, helping prospective and existing customers understand how InterSystems solutions address clinical, operational, and strategic healthcare challenges.
The role requires understanding of the InterSystems product portfolio and the ability to effectively articulate product value to executive, clinical, and operational stakeholders. The Clinical Advisor will lead and support customer presentations, workshops, product demonstrations, translating clinical requirements into compelling solution narratives that align with customer objectives.
The Clinical Advisor will develop and maintain strong relationships with executive leadership, including C-suite executives and senior clinical leaders across the UK healthcare market, acting as a trusted advisor to promote excellence in healthcare through the adoption and optimisation of InterSystems solutions. The individual will contribute to business development activities, support strategic account planning, influence purchasing decisions, and provide clinical expertise during procurement, implementation, and transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow trends in Healthcare Analytics, Evidence Based Medicine, Clinical Quality Measures, Accountable Care and Clinical Decision Support and advise Executive leadership and product development teams
- Play a key role in procurement and bid processes, from opportunity qualification and requirements gathering through to proposal development, customer presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Provide strategic insight/guidance on behalf of InterSystems
- Review healthcare informatics trends, experiences and approaches. Advise healthcare organisations on how health information solutions can address their challenges and support their clinical, operational, and transformation goals.
- Provide healthcare technology expertise to product, sales and marketing management teams to ensure the successful positioning of industry solutions and go to market tactics
- Provide market-driven information for product strategy and development direction using industry expertise and direct interaction with customers, prospects, analysts, and other external resources
- Represent InterSystems to Clinical societies, advocacy groups and Clinical advisory boards
- Deliver the InterSystems strategy to senior leader and peers in the UK Healthcare market
- Direct strategic issues, investment or partnering decisions, and actions regarding key regulatory demands and requirements
- Provide clinical and product input to all InterSystems and customer teams including Delivery, Product, and support to increase clinical knowledge and adoption
Experience/Qualification Required
- Possess strong grasp of clinical workflow in either community, acute or mental health settings, interest in health information systems and outcomes measurement
- A contemporary clinician who understands major trends in healthcare and managed care, and is familiar with point of care products and medical informatics trends and tools
- A strong leader with a mature sense of priorities and solid practical experience who can design and implement systems within the framework of technical boundaries
- Effectively communicate with a diversity of personalities. Is approachable and presents data with effective communication and presentation skills. Must be an effective consensus builder
- Direct experience with Healthcare Analytics, Clinical Decision Support systems, Evidence Based Medicine, Clinical Quality Measures, and Electronic Health Record systems
- Clinical domain knowledge and credibility within healthcare community
- Interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and time management skills required
- Previous experience within e Health in a multi-organization clinical setting preferred. Experience in the planning, selection, implementation and performance assessment of health IT solutions in desirable
- Desirable experience with AI-enabled Electronic Health Records (EHRs), Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS), ambient documentation solutions, or healthcare analytics platforms
- Knowledge of Generative AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and their practical application in healthcare delivery and operational improvement
- Desirable experience participating in or advising on digital transformation initiatives involving AI, automation, or advanced analytics within healthcare organizations

Education
- MD, or Nursing degree with a minimum of ten (10) years of clinical experience required. Ideally experience of greater than 2 years within eHealth role
