About the Role As a Claims Team Lead Assistant, you'll play a critical role in supporting the efficient processing and resolution of workers compensation claims. Your work directly impacts injured workers and employers by ensuring claims are handled fairly, accurately, and with compassion. You'll be part of a team that manages claim cycles from initial reporting through resolution, helping navigate the complex landscape of state workers compensation regulations. What You'll Do Assist in reviewing and processing workers compensation claims for accuracy and compliance Support claims team leadership by coordinating case file management and documentation Communicate with claimants, employers, healthcare providers, and legal representatives to gather information and answer questions Monitor claim status, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items Help maintain quality standards through file reviews and process improvements Ensure adherence to state workers compensation regulations and company procedures Assist in training and mentoring new team members as needed What We're Looking For Experience in workers compensation claims handling or a related field (preferred) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Clear communication abilities—both written and verbal Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate complex claim scenarios Customer-focused approach and empathy for those facing workplace injuries Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Proficiency with claims management software and standard office tools Must be able to reside on Oahu, Hawaii About Sedgwick With over 33,000 colleagues worldwide, Sedgwick is a leading global provider of claims management and employee benefits solutions.
