About the Role
As a Claims and Legal Operations Coordinator at Akumin, you will deliver day-to-day administrative and operational support that spans claims handling, litigation activity, and insurance processes. The position is built around accurate tracking, thorough documentation, and dependable follow-through, ensuring that every matter stays well-managed and up to date. You will partner closely with the Vice President, the Associate General Counsel, the Director of Claims and Legal Operations, and other members of the legal team to help workflows run smoothly. This is an on-site, full-time opportunity based in the US.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational assistance across claims, litigation, and insurance workflows.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation so that active matters remain organized and current.
- Track the status of ongoing claims and legal matters, flagging items that require attention or follow-up.
- Coordinate tasks and information among team members to keep processes on schedule.
- Support the Vice President, Associate General Counsel, Director of Claims and Legal Operations, and other legal staff with their daily needs.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and reliable follow-through.
- Comfort managing documentation, tracking, and coordination across multiple concurrent matters.
- Clear written and verbal communication for working with attorneys and senior leaders.
- Familiarity with claims, litigation, or insurance operations is an advantage.
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks and keep workflows current in a fast-moving environment.
