What You'll Do

  • Patrol assigned areas on foot and by vehicle to prevent and respond to criminal activity
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service from community members

  • Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records
  • Apprehend suspects and make arrests when necessary
  • Interact professionally with the public and serve as a community resource
  • Enforce local, state, and federal laws
  • Testify in court proceedings as required
  • Participate in training programs to maintain professional certifications
