Jacobs is seeking a Cities & Places Practice Leader for the West Region to drive growth, client relationships, and project excellence from our Old Sixth Ward office in Houston. This is a strategic, high-visibility opportunity to shape the future of integrated infrastructure and built-environment solutions.
About the Role
As the Cities & Places Practice Leader for the West Region at Jacobs in Houston, you will take ownership of long-term client partnerships and help define how we win and deliver work across our markets. With a particular emphasis on the Higher Education sector, you will set pursuit strategies, craft compelling and differentiated value propositions, and ensure quality is woven through every stage of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and nurture enduring relationships with clients to strengthen partnerships over the long term.
- Shape pursuit and capture strategies that position Jacobs to win priority work.
- Develop distinctive value propositions that set our offerings apart in competitive markets.
- Champion project excellence and consistent quality across delivery teams.
- Collaborate closely with global market teams, regional growth and sales leaders, and technical specialists.
- Focus practice growth and expertise within the Higher Education market.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience within the cities, places, or built-environment practice space.
- A track record of growing client relationships and leading successful pursuits.
- Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to translate market insight into winning value propositions.
- Familiarity with the Higher Education sector is highly valued.
- Excellent collaboration skills for working across global, regional, and technical teams.
- Willingness to work on-site full-time in Houston, Texas.
