The State of Iowa is seeking a dedicated Child & Family Services Case Manager to join the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services in West Union, Fayette County. This full-time role supports children and families across Eastern Iowa through compassionate, hands-on case management.
About the Role
As a Child & Family Services Case Manager with the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), you will work within the Division of Family Well-Being & Protection, Bureau of Child Protective Services. Based at the Fayette County HHS office in West Union, this position serves the Eastern Iowa Service Area, including Davenport and the surrounding communities. It is a full-time, on-site role scheduled Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cases involving the safety, permanency, and well-being of children and families across the Eastern Iowa Service Area.
- Partner with families, caregivers, and community resources to develop and carry out supportive service plans.
- Coordinate with the Bureau of Child Protective Services to ensure children are protected and family needs are addressed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and case records in line with HHS policies and state requirements.
- Serve families throughout Fayette County, Davenport, and nearby areas with regular field-based contact.
Qualifications
- A genuine commitment to child welfare and strengthening Iowa families.
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building abilities suited to case management work.
- Willingness to work on-site at the West Union office and travel within the Eastern Iowa Service Area as the role requires.
- Ability to meet the qualifications established by the State of Iowa for this position.
