Chief Human Resources Officer

As Chief Human Resources Officer at Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice Inc, you'll lead transformational HR strategy for this mission-driven not-for-profit healthcare organization in Barre Junction. This full-time position reports directly to executive leadership and plays a critical role in building the workforce that delivers home health and hospice care to central Vermont.

This role shapes culture, drives talent acquisition and retention, and ensures compliance across clinical and administrative teams.

What You'll Do

• Design and execute HR strategy that supports clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and organizational growth
• Lead recruitment, selection, and onboarding to attract experienced healthcare professionals and clinical staff
• Oversee employee development, performance management, and retention initiatives
• Manage compensation, benefits, payroll, and regulatory compliance in healthcare employment
• Direct employee relations, conflict resolution, and cultural initiatives reflecting nonprofit values
• Ensure credentialing, licensure verification, and adherence to healthcare staffing regulations
• Partner with senior leadership on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational change

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with healthcare or nonprofit background preferred
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic HR planning, organizational development, and talent management
• Deep knowledge of employment law, labor relations, and healthcare compliance
• Strong executive presence with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience with HR systems, data analytics, and performance metrics
• Commitment to serving vulnerable populations with dignity and compassion
