Consensus Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a part-time position at our Bridgeton, New Jersey location. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you'll play a vital role in delivering excellent patient care and supporting our clinical team in a collaborative healthcare environment.
About the Role
The Certified Medical Assistant position is central to our patient experience. You'll be responsible for creating a welcoming environment that makes patients feel valued and confident in our care. Your clinical skills and patient-focused approach will directly support the quality of care our practice provides every day.
What You'll Do
- Prepare patients for clinical examinations and ensure their comfort throughout the visit
- Obtain and accurately document vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate
- Collect comprehensive patient medical history and relevant social history information
- Update patient records with current health information and clinical notes
- Assist providers during patient examinations and minor clinical procedures
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and handle patient information with appropriate confidentiality
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Support inventory management and maintain organized clinical spaces
What We're Looking For
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential
- Demonstrated experience in clinical patient care settings
- Strong communication skills and compassionate patient interaction ability
- Attention to detail with accurate documentation practices
- Ability to work effectively within a team-based healthcare environment
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred
- Reliability and flexibility to support scheduling needs
