About the Role

As a Construction Engineering Inspector (CEI), you'll be the eyes and ears on project sites, verifying that all work meets contract specifications and applicable standards. You'll work directly with project teams to document construction progress, identify compliance issues, and maintain the highest standards of quality for roadway, bridge, and transportation infrastructure projects.

What You'll Do

• Conduct field inspections of roadway, bridge, and transportation construction projects to verify compliance with contract plans and specifications
• Document construction activities, material testing results, and inspection findings with accuracy and attention to detail
• Communicate with contractors, project managers, and engineers to address questions and resolve compliance concerns
• Monitor project schedules and worksite safety to ensure projects progress according to plan
• Maintain detailed inspection records and reports that support project documentation and contract administration

What We're Looking For

• Experience in construction inspection, civil engineering, or related transportation and infrastructure field
• Strong knowledge of construction contract specifications and standards for roadway and bridge projects
• Ability to work independently in field conditions and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills with a focus on detail
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Southwest Georgia
