CDL-A Truck Driver – Solo & Team Positions

About the Role

As a CDL-A Truck Driver with HMD Trucking, you will run over-the-road (OTR) routes hauling dry van freight across the country. We support every mile you log, pairing consistent loads with strong, mileage-based pay. Solo drivers can expect weekly earnings of roughly $1,350 to $2,250, while team drivers split between $3,200 and $4,500 per week. Solo company driver base pay starts at 65 cents per mile.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A dry van combination unit safely on long-haul, OTR routes
• Transport and deliver freight on schedule while protecting cargo integrity
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
• Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and HMD Trucking safety standards
• Coordinate with dispatch and, for team roles, share driving duties to keep loads moving

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A (Commercial Driver's License, Class A)
• Verifiable over-the-road driving experience
• Clean and safe driving record in line with company and federal requirements
• Willingness to run OTR and stay out for extended periods
• For team positions, a compatible co-driver or openness to being paired
