CRST Specialized Solutions is actively seeking experienced CDL A Owner Operators — specifically driving teams — to join their specialized freight division based out of Baltimore, Baltimore County, Maryland.
About the Role
This is a full-time opportunity for CDL A Owner Operator truck driver teams who want the freedom of independent contracting without sacrificing load volume or operational support. As a specialized contractor hauling specialty freight across the continental US, you and your co-driver set your own rhythm — selecting the loads you want, managing your own home time, and keeping the earnings your work generates.
What You'll Do
- Operate as a two-person Owner Operator team transporting specialty freight on long-haul and cross-country lanes
- Self-dispatch from available loads, giving you direct control over your schedule and home time
- Maintain your commercial vehicle to DOT and CRST Specialized Solutions standards
- Coordinate with CRST's support staff on routing, load planning, and any in-transit needs
- Comply with all federal Hours of Service regulations and safety requirements
- Complete accurate bills of lading and delivery documentation for every shipment
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) for both drivers on the team
- Willingness to operate as an independent contractor Owner Operator — you own or lease your own tractor
- Clean driving record and satisfactory MVR history
- Experience handling specialty or oversized freight is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a two-driver team
- Commitment to on-time delivery, cargo security, and professional conduct
