Catholic High School Latin Teacher

Regina Caeli Academy is seeking a dedicated part-time Latin Teacher to join its classical, Catholic high school program at the Carrollton, Denton County campus for the 2026–2027 academic year.

This position is an opportunity to bring the riches of Latin language and classical literature to high school students in a faithfully Catholic, academically rigorous environment. Regina Caeli Academy's Carrollton location is looking for someone who shares a love of the classical tradition and Catholic mission — prior classroom experience is not required, as comprehensive pedagogical training is provided to all new instructors.

What You'll Do

• Deliver engaging, structured Latin instruction to high school students rooted in classical and Catholic educational principles
• Guide students through Latin grammar, vocabulary, and translation with a progression appropriate to their level
• Introduce foundational classical texts and authors that form the core of a liberal arts curriculum
• Plan and prepare lessons aligned with Regina Caeli Academy's classical model
• Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and translation exercises
• Cultivate a classroom culture that reflects Catholic values and intellectual curiosity
• Collaborate with fellow faculty as part of the broader school community

What We're Looking For

• Solid command of Latin — formal credentials or a teaching license are not required to apply
• Comfort working with high school students in a structured, faith-based setting
• Background in homeschooling, supporting homeschool families, or Catholic ministry is a meaningful asset
• Appreciation for the classical and Catholic intellectual tradition
• Willingness to receive training in Regina Caeli Academy's instructional approach
• Strong communication skills and a patient, encouraging teaching presence
