About the Role

Petstock Group is seeking a dedicated Retail Sales Assistant to join our team in Emu Bay, Kangaroo Island. As part of Petstock Victor Harbor, you will be inspired by pets and animals to strive for excellence both professionally and personally, making an impact on Pets, People, and the Planet.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service
• Maintain a clean and organized retail environment
• Assist with stock management and product placement
• Handle cash register transactions accurately and efficiently
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about products, promotions, and company policies
• Support the store manager with inventory control and sales reporting as needed

Skills & Qualifications

• A passion for animals and a commitment to customer service excellence
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Knowledge of basic computer systems including POS systems is beneficial
• Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds as part of stock duties
