Aims Local College District is seeking a Business Development Manager, Strategic Partnerships to drive institutional growth and strengthen our community connections. This is a full-time position based in Greeley, Weld County, where you'll play a key role in expanding our educational and workforce development impact across the region.

About the Role

As Business Development Manager for Strategic Partnerships, you will identify, cultivate, and manage partnerships that advance Aims' mission and expand our reach with employers, community organizations, and educational institutions. You'll serve as a bridge between the college and external stakeholders, translating community needs into collaborative opportunities that strengthen our programs and services.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute partnership strategies aligned with institutional priorities and community economic development goals
  • Identify and engage potential partners—employers, workforce boards, non-profits, government agencies, and educational entities
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships through regular communication, needs assessment, and value demonstration
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to design partnership proposals that meet both college and partner objectives
  • Support program development, employer engagement, and student placement initiatives through strategic alignment
  • Prepare partnership agreements, proposals, and reports documenting outcomes and impact
  • Represent Aims at community events, economic development meetings, and regional forums
  • Track partnership metrics and contribute to institutional reports on partnership effectiveness

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent professional experience in business development or partnership management)
  • Demonstrated success building and managing strategic relationships or business partnerships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present ideas clearly to diverse audiences
  • Project management capability and attention to detail in tracking commitments and outcomes
  • Strategic thinking and ability to identify mutual value and opportunities
  • Familiarity with higher education, workforce development, or community engagement is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
