Business Analyst, Pricing and Underwriting

Maxor National Pharmacy Services is hiring a Business Analyst, Pricing and Underwriting in Lewiston, Androscoggin County. This full-time position supports our Pharmacy Benefit Manager operations by delivering data-driven insights that guide specialty services pricing strategy and client underwriting decisions.

About the Role

As a Business Analyst focused on Pricing and Underwriting, you'll serve as a bridge between our clinical, financial, and account management functions. Your analytical expertise will directly shape how we structure and price specialty pharmacy contracts, ensuring both competitive positioning and sustainable margins for our clients and organization.

What You'll Do

• Compile, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to support pricing decisions for specialty pharmacy services
• Build and maintain custom reports that track key underwriting metrics and contract performance
• Assess the financial and operational impact of client-requested changes to contract terms and pricing structures
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Finance, Clinical, and Account Management teams to align pricing recommendations with business strategy
• Document methodology and present findings to stakeholders in clear, actionable formats
• Identify trends and opportunities to refine our pricing approach and underwriting processes

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in pricing analysis, financial modeling, or healthcare analytics
• Strong proficiency with data analysis tools and SQL or equivalent database querying
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large, complex datasets
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in pharmacy, PBM operations, or specialty pharmacy is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
