Body Technician

Bill Knight Collision is hiring a full-time Body Technician at our Broken Arrow, Tulsa County location — a hands-on role for a skilled collision repair professional ready to do quality work on a team that values craftsmanship.

About the Role

As a Body Technician with Bill Knight Collision, part of the Open Road Collision group, you will perform structural and cosmetic collision repairs that return vehicles to pre-loss condition. You'll work alongside estimators, painters, and service advisors in a shop environment built around quality repair outcomes and a low-stress customer experience.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose collision damage and determine the correct repair method for each vehicle
• Straighten and realign vehicle frames and unibody structures using industry-standard equipment
• Remove, repair, and replace damaged panels, doors, quarter panels, and structural components
• Perform MIG and squeeze-type resistance spot welding in accordance with OEM procedures
• Rough-out and finish metal surfaces, apply fillers, and block-sand panels for paint-ready results
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle components to access and complete repairs
• Review repair orders, follow repair plans, and document labor and parts accurately
• Inspect completed repairs to confirm they meet shop quality standards before the vehicle moves to paint
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to all shop safety protocols

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated hands-on experience in auto body or collision repair
• Proficiency with frame straightening machines, welding equipment, and body repair tools
• Working knowledge of OEM and industry repair procedures
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering finished repairs that meet high standards
• Ability to read and interpret damage reports and repair orders
• I-CAR or ASE certification is a plus
• Valid driver's license
• A motivated, self-directed work style with the ability to stay on pace in a production shop environment
