Bilingual Community-Based Services Counselor

About the Role

As a Bilingual Community-Based Services Counselor, you will deliver family-centered mental health care directly within the community, meeting youth and their families at the times and places that work best for them. Working as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary Wraparound team, you'll provide trauma-informed and culturally responsive support that honors each family's language, background, and unique circumstances.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer family-centered mental health counseling to youth and their loved ones
• Provide timely crisis intervention and ongoing emotional support
• Coordinate case management services to connect families with the resources they need
• Contribute as an active member of a multi-disciplinary Wraparound team
• Deliver trauma-informed, culturally responsive services throughout the Concord community
• Schedule sessions at locations and times that are convenient and accessible for each family

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and a second language to support bilingual clients and families
• Background or training in mental health counseling, social work, or a related human services field
• Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive care
• Ability to work flexibly in community-based settings rather than a fixed office
• Strong collaboration skills for working within a multi-disciplinary team
• Willingness to work on-site in Concord, Contra Costa County (this is not a remote position)
