H.B. Fuller is hiring a full-time Benefits Program Manager II to join its Human Resources team at its headquarters in Saint Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota — an opportunity to shape enterprise-level benefits strategy at one of the world's most respected specialty chemical manufacturers.
About the Role
In this senior individual-contributor position, you will own the design, administration, and continuous improvement of H.B. Fuller's US employee benefits programs. Working cross-functionally with HR Business Partners, Finance, Legal, and external vendors, you will ensure that benefit offerings are competitive, compliant, and clearly communicated to a diverse workforce.
What You'll Do
- Manage end-to-end administration of health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement (401k) benefit programs across US employee populations
- Lead annual open enrollment planning, vendor coordination, system configuration, and employee communication campaigns
- Monitor compliance with applicable federal and state regulations including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA; coordinate required filings and notices
- Analyze benefits utilization data and cost trends; develop recommendations that balance employee value with organizational budget targets
- Serve as the primary contact for benefits vendors and brokers, managing service agreements, resolving escalations, and conducting periodic performance reviews
- Oversee leave-of-absence programs (FMLA, state leave, military leave) in partnership with HR and external leave administrators
- Support wellness and total-rewards initiatives that align with H.B. Fuller's global people strategy
- Respond to complex employee benefits inquiries and escalations with accuracy and empathy
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline
- Five or more years of progressive benefits administration or benefits program management experience, ideally within a large, multinational organization
- Solid working knowledge of US benefits regulations (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA)
- Demonstrated ability to analyze benefits data and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Experience managing vendor relationships and open enrollment cycles from planning through close
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and benefits administration systems; strong command of Excel or comparable analytical tools
- CEBS, CBP, or PHR/SPHR certification is a plus
- Clear, audience-appropriate written and verbal communication skills
