Bartender – (Part-Time)

Montage Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Bartender - (Part-Time) to join the team in Washington, D.C., US.

About the Role

This part‑time position supports the beverage service team in delivering memorable guest experiences at our Washington, D.C. property. You will work alongside skilled colleagues in a vibrant hospitality environment that values craftsmanship and genuine service.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized bar area, ensuring glassware, tools, and supplies are stocked and sanitized.
• Engage with guests, offering recommendations and providing attentive, friendly service that enhances their stay.
• Process payments accurately, handle cash and card transactions, and follow all cash‑handling procedures.
• Adhere to health, safety, and alcohol‑service regulations, checking identification as required.
• Collaborate with servers, runners, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service flow during peak periods.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay current on menu updates and service techniques.

What We're Looking For

• Previous bartending or bar‑service experience, preferably in a hotel, resort, or upscale restaurant setting.
• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a guest‑focused mindset and the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of a part‑time schedule.
• Basic math proficiency for handling transactions and making change.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and responsible service environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and a willingness to learn new techniques.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
