About the Role
As a Bartender at IOP Hospitality in Southwest Brooklyn, you'll be the face of our bar, delivering memorable experiences to every guest who walks through our doors. Your expertise in mixology, customer engagement, and efficient service will directly drive our success and build a loyal customer base.
What You'll Do
- Craft quality cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages to order, consistently meeting our standards for taste and presentation
- Provide attentive, friendly service that encourages repeat visits and builds guest relationships
- Manage cash handling, operate the POS system, and process transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bar area at all times
- Follow and enforce all safety and security policies and procedures without exception
- Report any unsafe conditions or concerns immediately to management
- Recommend menu items and upsell food and beverages strategically
- Support restaurant operations by completing special projects and tasks assigned by the Restaurant Manager
What We're Looking For
- Proven bartending experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Thorough knowledge of cocktail preparation, spirits, wine, and beer
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safety, sanitation, and responsible beverage service
- Ability to multitask in high-volume settings and maintain composure under pressure
- NY State Liquor License or ability to obtain one
- Reliable, professional, and customer-focused mindset
