The Opportunity

We are hiring a Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale the core services and infrastructure behind the Tradeify ecosystem. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working deep in distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and high-throughput APIs — and who takes ownership of reliability and performance at scale.

You will work closely with Product, Data, and Engineering teams to deliver robust backend systems that directly power the experience of traders globally. This is a hands-on role based out of our Boca Raton, FL office.

What You Will Do

API & Service Development

• Design and build performant, scalable REST APIs and WebSocket services

• Develop and maintain backend microservices using Python, Node.js, Go, or C#

• Own features end-to-end from schema design through deployment and monitoring

• Build integrations with third-party trading platforms, market data providers, and internal tools

Data & Infrastructure

• Design and optimize relational and NoSQL data models across PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB

• Build and maintain event-driven pipelines and message queue systems

• Work with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized deployments

• Manage caching strategies, background job processing, and async workflows

Reliability & Engineering Excellence

• Ensure system reliability, security, and performance across all environments

• Implement observability — logging, metrics, alerting, and distributed tracing

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment automation

• Participate in architecture discussions and technical planning sessions

• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable backend code

• Troubleshoot production incidents and drive root cause resolution

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of backend software engineering experience

• Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages: Python, Node.js, Go, or C#

• Deep experience designing and building scalable REST APIs and WebSocket services

• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and query optimization

• Experience with caching layers (Redis, Memcached) and async processing patterns

• Familiarity with message brokers and event streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, or similar)

• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Docker/Kubernetes

• Strong grasp of system design principles — distributed systems, fault tolerance, and scalability

• Ability to work independently and move quickly in a startup environment

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Experience within fintech, trading, crypto, or financial systems

• Exposure to real-time systems or market data applications (order books, tick data, trade execution)

• Experience with high-volume or time-series data systems such as TimescaleDB or ClickHouse

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi)

• Experience with gRPC or other binary protocols for low-latency service communication

• Background in building compliance, risk, or audit trail systems

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and engineering automation
