We are looking for an experienced backend engineer to strengthen our team. As a backend engineer you will join the Backend Electron team within the R&D department. To develop software, creating clean and maintainable code which helps with building and expanding our product. Your tailor-made code seamlessly integrates our products with customers’ systems. You ensure our solutions are tested, accessible, extensible, maintainable, secure and perform well. The devil is in the detail and nothing escapes your sight. In this role, you work in an empowered team of highly skilled software developers. You are encouraged to introduce your own ideas and challenge others.

Meet the job

You seamlessly integrate the Backbase platform into our customers’ systems, while focusing on the back-end part of the implementation.
You provide solid technical solutions to complex issues whilst helping us deliver the best customer experience and reinforce company reputation. Your core responsibility is to respond to reported issues as vigorously as possible and solve complex problems.
You use your understanding of programming languages and tools to analyse current codes and industry developments, formulate efficient processes, solve problems and create a seamless experience for millions of users across the globe.
You coach a team of developers on the client and partner side and provide training to those who work with the platform. You thrive working with colleagues from multiple cultures.

As such, many modern principles have been adopted such as continuous integration and delivery. How about you

● You have at least 3 years of experience as a Java Backend Developer;
● Your background speaks for itself; you have solid experience working in enterprise projects;
● Experience in the banking domain or Fintech products will be considered an advantage;
● You have excellent communication skills in English, spoken and written;
● We are looking forward to learning about your additional skills, like Spring Boot, Hibernate, Rest APIs, Microservices, containerization, CI/CD, design patterns and automated tests.
