About the Role

As an Automotive Lead Technician, you'll take a pivotal leadership role within our service department, managing daily operations while maintaining the high diagnostic and repair standards our customers expect. You'll work across our network of Firestone Complete Auto Care, Tires Plus, and Wheel Works locations, setting the tone for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in everything your team delivers.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise and mentor a team of automotive technicians, fostering professional development and maintaining consistent service quality
  • Perform complex vehicle diagnostics and repairs, demonstrating advanced technical skills across systems and components
  • Oversee job scheduling, workflow coordination, and completion timelines to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct quality inspections on completed service work and ensure all repairs meet company and manufacturer standards
  • Communicate directly with customers about vehicle conditions, repair needs, and service recommendations
  • Maintain shop equipment and inventory, ensuring technicians have the tools and parts needed to deliver excellent service
  • Uphold safety protocols and compliance standards throughout the service department

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as an automotive technician with advanced diagnostic and repair capabilities
  • Demonstrated leadership experience supervising technical teams or training colleagues
  • ASE certification or equivalent automotive technical credentials strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead by example under pressure
  • Knowledge of automotive systems, safety standards, and service best practices
