About the Role
As our Parts Counterperson, you'll serve as a key member of our fast-paced parts department, fulfilling orders from retail customers and supporting our service team. Your responsibilities span parts retrieval, inventory management, customer service, and order processing—all critical to keeping our dealership running smoothly and customers satisfied.
What You'll Do
- Locate and retrieve automotive parts accurately using our computerized inventory management system
- Process customer orders and internal service department requests with speed and precision
- Verify part numbers, confirm compatibility, and cross-reference technical specifications
- Maintain organized, well-stocked parts inventory and warehouse standards
- Provide expert guidance on part availability, specifications, and pricing to customers
- Handle transactions, including cash and card payments at the counter
- Build strong relationships with regular customers and support internal mechanics
- Manage physical stock rotation and shelf organization to ensure efficiency
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Automotive parts, retail, or customer service experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with computer systems and inventory management software
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Genuine enthusiasm for automotive excellence and customer satisfaction
- Reliable transportation to our Miamisburg location
