About the Role

The role involves performing audits to assess the competency, capability, and capacity of entities, their employees, and products/services. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing reports, conducting risk management tasks, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with standards and regulations. Audits may either meet required standards or drive face-to-face audits by a Lead Auditor.

Responsibilities also involve undertaking remote audits through the verification and examination of evidence against standards, procedures, and protocols. You will acquire and gather audit evidence, observe business procedures, update reports, and use analytics to assess operational risks. Prepare final audit reports with recommendations for system/process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with scheme procedures by verification and examination of records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
  • Adhere to business procedures and undertake remote audits through verification and examination of required, requested, or submitted evidence against standards, procedures, and protocols.
  • Aquire and gather audit evidence, examine policies, procedures, training records, financial records, and other documentation submitted as evidence.
  • Observe business procedures, continually update reports and findings, use analytics to assess operational business risks.
  • Prepare or contribute to a final audit report, including making recommendations for improvements to systems and/or processes.

Requirements

  • Experience in auditing and risk management.
  • Familiarity with the Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS) or Railway Industry Supplier Approval Scheme (RISAS).
  • Strong analytical skills to assess operational risks.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
