Job Overview

Mainspring Energy is seeking an Associate Technical Writer to create and maintain high-quality manufacturing and service documentation. You will be a key contributor to moving our breakthrough technology from an engineering environment into high-volume production.

The ideal candidate possesses excellent mechanical intuition, a natural curiosity for complex mechanical and electrical systems, and a proven ability to distill technical processes into unambiguous, easy-to-understand documentation.
This position requires collaboration across a diverse team of technicians, engineers, and managers. You must be comfortable working fully onsite in Menlo Park, at times in our manufacturing shop areas, while maintaining a strategic view of how our documentation can best support a variety of audiences.
