Role Overview
The Staffing Execution Lead – India plays a critical dual role:
- Driving day-to-day staffing execution across all Ignite Advisory businesses using the India-based consultant pool, and
- Building and evolving the staffing infrastructure, processes, and operating model to support a rapidly scaling global delivery hub.
- This role serves as the central coordination point for India-based talent deployment, partnering closely with global Staffing Leads, business leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to balance client demand, consultant development, and utilization goals.
- As a net-new and high-impact role, this individual will bring a builder mindset, helping define scalable staffing processes, systems, and governance while ensuring alignment with global staffing practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Staffing Execution & Talent Deployment (Core Priority)
- Own end-to-end staffing for India-based consultants across Ignite Advisory, aligning talent to project demand.
- Partner with global Staffing Leads and business leadership to balance demand, resolve staffing needs, and optimize utilization.
- Act as the primary liaison between India talent supply and global demand, ensuring visibility into skills, availability, and development goals.
- Lead staffing discussions with consultants to understand preferences, skills, and career aspirations, enabling informed placements.
- Proactively manage capacity, pipeline risks, and staffing conflicts; escalate issues and recommend solutions.
- Own and continuously improve unstaffed and new hire staffing processes, ensuring strong onboarding and deployment experiences.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date skills, experience, and availability data within staffing systems.
- Global Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with US/UK Staffing Leads to enable seamless global staffing and cross-region resourcing.
- Partner with India-based business leaders to validate demand, improve visibility of talent capabilities, and enhance decision-making.
- Work closely with BD, finance, and opportunity leads to ensure pipeline accuracy and staffing alignment.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on staffing insights, risks, and trade-offs.
- Drive consistency, transparency, and best practice sharing across staffing teams globally.
- Staffing Infrastructure Build & Process Design (Critical Focus)
- Define, build, and implement the India staffing operating model, including processes, governance, and ways of working.
- Lead the design and evolution of staffing workflows, tools, and systems to ensure scalability.
- Establish and uphold data standards, reporting frameworks, and system hygiene to enable effective decision-making.
- Support the development and adoption of centralized staffing platforms and tools, ensuring alignment with global infrastructure.
- Continuously assess and enhance staffing capabilities to meet evolving business needs.
- Analytics, Insights & Workforce Planning
- Monitor and report on key staffing metrics (e.g., utilization, capacity, demand pipeline).
- Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for workforce planning and talent deployment.
- Provide input into broader talent strategy, workforce planning, and capability development discussions.
- Continuous Improvement & Change Leadership
- Drive continuous improvement across staffing processes, tools, and operating models.
- Lead or support cross-functional initiatives related to staffing transformation and modernization.
- Act as a change agent, ensuring adoption of new systems, processes, and ways of working.
- Bring thought leadership and best practices in staffing operations and capability development.
What You’ll Need
- Experience in staffing, resource management, or workforce planning within consulting or professional services.
- Proven ability to operate in both execution-heavy and build/transform environments (critical for success in this role).
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across geographies and seniority levels.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into insights and action.
- Experience with staffing systems, reporting tools, and data governance concepts.
- Demonstrated project management and process design capabilities, including building new capabilities from the ground up.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and scale operations in a fast-growing, global environment.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
