About the Role
This full‑time position works closely with senior designers to translate trend concepts into wearable knitwear, assisting with everything from initial sketches to final sample approval.
What You'll Do
- Assist senior sweater designers in researching seasonal trends, color palettes, and fabric innovations.
- Create technical sketches and flat drawings using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Help develop tech packs that include measurements, construction details, and trim specifications.
- Coordinate with domestic and international vendors to source yarns, trims, and accessories.
- Prepare and maintain the sample library, tracking fit sessions and commenting on prototype quality.
- Attend fittings, take notes, and communicate required adjustments to design and production teams.
- Support the presentation of line reviews to merchandising and sales partners.
- Keep organized records of design files, sample logs, and cost sheets.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–2 years of experience in sweater or knitwear design, preferably within a women’s fashion environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and familiarity with PLM systems.
- Strong understanding of knit construction, stitch patterns, and yarn characteristics.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across design, development, and merchandising teams.
- Detail‑oriented with a keen eye for color, proportion, and finish.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced seasonal calendar.
