Join Spencer Gifts - Spirit Halloween as an Assistant Store Manager in our Eureka, Humboldt County location. This is a full-time position for a leader ready to drive sales, mentor team members, and support all store operations.
About the Role
As Assistant Store Manager, you'll be second-in-command in a fast-paced retail environment, working alongside the Store Manager to ensure smooth daily operations and an excellent customer experience. This leadership position combines hands-on retail management with strategic support for one of the most dynamic seasonal retailers in the industry.
What You'll Do
- Support store operations including scheduling, inventory management, and visual merchandising standards
- Lead, train, and supervise team members to meet sales targets and deliver strong customer service
- Manage cash handling, POS systems, and daily financial reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health, safety, and legal requirements
- Cover opening and closing duties as needed
- Assist with seasonal promotions, marketing initiatives, and special events
- Address customer concerns and resolve conflicts professionally
What We're Looking For
- Proven retail management experience or strong supervisory background
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and retail technology
- Attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Flexibility for seasonal retail hours, including weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly rate ranges from $18.90 to $19.15, based on qualifications and experience.
