Dollar Tree is hiring an Assistant Manager II to lead store operations, customer service excellence, and team development at our Norland Park location in DeKalb County. This is a full-time opportunity for someone ready to take on greater responsibility in a fast-paced retail environment.
About the Role
As Assistant Manager II at Dollar Tree, you'll share responsibility for all store operations and help drive sales, customer satisfaction, and team performance. You'll work directly with the Store Manager to ensure smooth daily operations while building a strong, motivated team that delivers exceptional service to every customer who walks through our doors.
What You'll Do
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and loss prevention
- Support merchandising and inventory management, including receiving, organizing, and stocking products from deliveries
- Lead, train, and mentor store associates to meet performance standards and develop their careers
- Ensure a positive, clean, and organized shopping environment that reflects Dollar Tree's standards
- Deliver outstanding customer service by responding to inquiries, resolving concerns, and creating welcoming experiences
- Monitor sales trends, analyze performance metrics, and implement strategies to drive store results
- Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and scheduled labor practices
What We're Looking For
- Proven retail management or assistant management experience, preferably in a discount or variety retail setting
- Strong leadership and coaching ability with experience developing and motivating teams
- Excellent customer service skills and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of inventory management, merchandising, and sales operations
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high operational standards
- Valid driver's license and availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
