About the Role

As an Armed Dispensary Security Guard with Silver Star Protection Group, you will provide a visible, professional armed presence at a dispensary located at 2533A Vandalia St, Collinsville, IL 62234. This is a part-time, on-site position built around a Wednesday shift from 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., with the opportunity to add more shifts throughout the week. The role suits dependable security professionals who take protecting people, product, and property seriously.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain an alert, armed security presence at the dispensary entrance and throughout the premises.
• Monitor customer and staff activity to deter theft, loss, and unauthorized access.
• Respond calmly and decisively to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies as they arise.
• Verify identification and help ensure entry complies with applicable regulations.
• Document observations, incidents, and shift activity accurately.
• Coordinate with dispensary staff and local authorities when situations require it.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois firearm and security credentials required to work as an armed guard.
• Prior experience in armed security, law enforcement, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Sound judgment, situational awareness, and the ability to stay composed under pressure.
• Reliable availability for the scheduled Wednesday shift and willingness to pick up additional days.
• Professional demeanor and clear written and verbal communication skills.
