Area Leader

Valet Living is hiring a full-time Area Leader in Des Moines, Polk County to oversee operational excellence in waste, recycling, and compost collection services. This field-based leadership position offers the opportunity to manage and develop a growing team while ensuring reliable service to multifamily communities across the region.

The Opportunity

As Area Leader for Valet Living's Des Moines operations, you'll supervise a team of 15 to 40 part-time Service Valets delivering nightly collection services across 20 to 40 multifamily communities in Polk County and surrounding areas. You'll drive consistent execution of our operations while maintaining the highest standards for safety, reliability, and customer service. This is a hands-on leadership role where your day-to-day decisions directly impact resident satisfaction and community outcomes.

Core Duties

• Supervise daily waste, recycling, and compost collection operations across multiple multifamily communities
• Lead, train, and manage a team of part-time Service Valets
• Monitor service quality, safety compliance, and on-time performance metrics
• Schedule team members and manage attendance and productivity
• Build and maintain strong relationships with property managers and residents
• Identify operational issues and implement process improvements
• Ensure safety protocols and environmental best practices are consistently followed
