CommonSpirit Health is seeking an Appointment Scheduler to join the CHI Health Clinic team in Ralston, Douglas County.

About the Role

In this full‑time position you will serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking care across primary, specialty, walk‑in, and virtual services. Your work helps ensure that individuals receive timely appointments and that clinic operations run smoothly.

What You'll Do

  • Answer incoming calls and respond to online scheduling requests with a courteous, professional demeanor.
  • Book, reschedule, and cancel appointments for a variety of services while maintaining accurate provider calendars.
  • Verify patient insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations before visits.
  • Enter and update demographic and clinical data in the electronic health record system.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to manage patient flow, address scheduling conflicts, and communicate any changes.
  • Provide clear instructions regarding appointment preparation, location details, and telehealth access.
  • Handle payment inquiries, copay collection, and basic billing questions in accordance with clinic policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of protected health information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in medical administration is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a customer‑service or front‑desk role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain procedures clearly to diverse populations.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including electronic scheduling tools and basic data entry.
  • Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance verification processes is advantageous.
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate service that supports patient well‑being.
