About the Role
As an Anchor & Reporter with Univision Los Angeles, you'll be the voice and face of our newsroom's commitment to accurate, compelling storytelling. Working from our studio facilities in Los Angeles County, you'll present both breaking news and in-depth stories across multiple platforms, combining authoritative on-air delivery with field reporting to inform and engage our audience.
What You'll Do
- Present news broadcasts and segments for Univision Los Angeles television and streaming services
- Deliver scripts with clarity, confidence, and professionalism to convey news content effectively
- Conduct interviews with sources, experts, and community members to develop substantive stories
- Report live updates and breaking news coverage with accuracy and composure
- Research, verify, and develop stories that meet journalistic standards and audience interests
- Collaborate with producers, directors, and editorial staff on daily programming decisions
- Adapt quickly to changing news situations while maintaining professional presence in high-pressure environments
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in broadcast news as an anchor or reporter, with a portfolio showcasing on-air ability
- Fluent Spanish-language skills (spoken and written) strongly preferred
- Excellent communication abilities and skill at translating complex information for broad audiences
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Comfort performing live on air and responding effectively to developing news situations
- Strong commitment to accuracy, ethical journalism, and professional standards
- Familiarity with newsroom production systems and digital broadcast platforms valued
