Position Summary
The Alukura Midwife position at Central Australian Aboriginal Congress is a full-time, maximum term contract until 30 June 2029. This role offers culturally appropriate midwifery support services within the Northern Territory’s largest Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO). The base salary ranges from $127,803 to $141,843 per annum (pro rata), with a total effective package of $155,839 to $171,706 per annum (pro rata).
Core Duties
- Provide high-quality midwifery care in line with Aboriginal cultural values and practices.
- Support the delivery of culturally appropriate health services for expectant mothers and their families.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of health programs that benefit the community.
What We're Looking For
- A female midwife with a strong commitment to Aboriginal cultural values and practices.
- Proven experience in providing midwifery care within an ACCHO or similar setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
