Iris Scientific is hiring an Advanced Laser Microscopy Sales Specialist in Seattle, WA — a full-time opportunity to sell cutting-edge laser microscopy systems to research, clinical, and industrial customers across the Pacific Northwest.

About the Role

As the Advanced Laser Microscopy Sales Specialist based in Seattle, WA, you will own the full sales cycle for high-performance laser microscopy instrumentation. This is a technically demanding, relationship-driven position ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of advanced optical science and consultative selling. The role is on-site and field-based, with an anticipated start date roughly two to three months from offer.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive new business and grow existing accounts for advanced laser microscopy platforms throughout the Seattle territory.
• Translate complex optical and imaging capabilities into clear value for scientists, lab managers, and procurement decision-makers.
• Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and tailored proposals that close revenue.
• Manage your pipeline end to end, from prospecting through negotiation and post-sale follow-up.
• Travel within the region to customer sites, supported by a car allowance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in technical or capital-equipment sales, ideally involving microscopy, photonics, or scientific instrumentation.
• Strong grasp of laser and optical microscopy concepts, with the ability to engage credibly with a scientific audience.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and account-management skills.
• Willingness to travel across the Seattle, WA region as a field-based representative.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary of $110K, plus $30K in uncapped on-target commissions.
• Car allowance to support territory travel.
