Adjunct Faculty – Engineering Entrepreneurship

Join PolicyTech as an Adjunct Faculty member teaching Engineering Entrepreneurship at our Villanova, Delaware County campus. This is a part-time faculty position designed for experienced professionals passionate about developing the next generation of engineering entrepreneurs.

About the Role

PolicyTech's College of Engineering maintains an adjunct faculty pool to deliver high-impact instruction within its Engineering Entrepreneurship program. As part of this team, you'll lead courses that equip engineering students with the practical knowledge and mindset needed to transform innovative ideas into viable ventures. This part-time adjunct role offers flexibility while making a direct impact on student success and entrepreneurial development.

What You'll Do

• Teach courses in opportunity identification, guiding students through market research and innovation discovery
• Instruct on technical and market feasibility assessment, helping students evaluate the viability of their concepts
• Lead modules on prototyping, design thinking, and rapid iteration methodologies
• Cover business planning and venture development, including financial modeling and go-to-market strategy
• Mentor students through capstone projects and entrepreneurial initiatives
• Collaborate with full-time faculty and industry partners to keep curriculum current and relevant

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in engineering, startup development, venture creation, or corporate innovation
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more Engineering Entrepreneurship core areas: opportunity assessment, feasibility analysis, prototyping, or business planning
• Track record of translating technical concepts into accessible instruction
• Ability to engage and inspire engineering students through real-world examples and case studies
• Graduate degree in engineering, business, or related field preferred
• Teaching experience in higher education, professional training, or mentorship settings
• Communication skills and genuine commitment to student development
