What This Role Involves
As an Activities Assistant, you'll support the planning and execution of therapeutic programs designed to enhance residents' quality of life. You'll work with a team committed to addressing the whole person—supporting residents' emotional, spiritual, and social well-being through structured activities and community events. Your work will be grounded in industry standards and best practices that prioritize person-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and coordinating the facility's activity programming
- Plan and organize special events that foster community and engagement
- Ensure activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations
- Support residents' spiritual, emotional, and psychosocial wellness needs on an individual basis
Who We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in activities programming, group facilitation, or community engagement (preferred)
- Background in mental health or behavioral health services (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills and genuine interest in supporting others' recovery and well-being
